Fantastic Location, Great Value

I stayed at this hotel with my friend in a twin bed room for 2 nights having researched Paris hotels via Trip Advisor. I chose it because of the great reviews by other visitors and was not disappointed! The location is spot on - right outside Charles de Gaulle Etoile Metro and literally 100 metres from the Arc de Triomphe. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful - always smiling and polite which makes all the difference. Our room was large enough, clean, comfortable and even though we were sideways facing to the L’Arc, we just looked to the right and there it was. Fantastic!! We probably werent supposed to but outside our bathroom window was a ladder leading to the roof so later that evening we went up for a look and had the most spectacular view of Paris… L’Arc, the Eiffel Tower lit up. Oh yes, the bathroom was great - large with a bath and shower.

We wanted somewhere within walking distance for our Saturday night out and got some recommendations from the girls in the MAC makeup shop (always a winner). We found such a cool bar down Rue de Berri (on the left as you walk down the Champs Elysee from the hotel). Its called QUEENIE. Very S&TC, great cocktails. Then we went onto a bar/club called Le Sens. Seriously cool! Lovely decor. Expensive drinks but it was very nice in there! We were there at midnight however and it was pretty empty… apparently it fills up around 2am. So we left and went to another club called Blanche just around the corner. It was packed (younger age group… Im 33, my friend is 20) but really good, everyone dancing and having a good time. We stayed in there until 5am....!

Anyway just adding these tips about bars and clubs as I always appreciate recommendations in foreign cities so I know Im gonna have a great night out :-)

I thoroughly recommend this hotel. It was really good all round and just opposite is a great cafe/restaurant for breakfast or lunch. We had breakfast there and the waiter gave my friend his number - what more do you want in Paris?!?
