Hard to beat !

My daughter and I enjoyed a perfectly delightful 4 night stay at this gem of a hotel as we celebrated her big 40th birthday in Paris. From my first e-mail to confirm details, nothing I requested was left undone. From the ‘rose carrying’ driver who waited more than an hour for us at the airport because of our delay to report last luggage, to the holding of choice tickets at both the Moulin Rouge and Le Lido so we could decide and the personal handling of our luggage by the chief concierge, Farouq, both at our arrival and departure..........It would be difficult to cite ways in which we could have been more courteously and efficiently served.
Our room was delightful and had a most breathtaking view of the Arc de Triomphe from our balcony. The convenience of small cafes, the metro that rapidly took us everywhere with no problem, to the ease of walking and shopping allowed us a luxurious, relaxed experience we won’t soon forget.
We discovered a fabulous Parisian restaurant quite by accident on a walk several blocks from the hotel. The Congres Maillot on Av. de la Grande Arm’ee was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday. A seafood lover’s paradise, they featured enormous iced platters of the freshest seafood. Our waiter was most attentive and diners on both sides of our table serenaded us with “Happy Birthday’ in both French and English. That, along with dinner at the Cafe de la Paix and Chez Cle’ment, rounded out our wonderful dining experience.
We would gladly stay at this fine hotel again and hope that Farouq is still there!
