Absolutely LOVED the Hotel Splendid Etoile!

We stayed in the Splendid Etoile from 12/6/06 to 12/12/06. It was our 2nd time to Paris and wanted to stay more central vs. the outskirts when we were on a travel tour the 1st time around. We were in a Triple Room (503) which was a lg. King Size and a twin size rolling bed. Very comfortable for our 21 year old daughter. The room was large and faced the street. Two sets of huge glass doors kept out all street noise but we left them open during the day just to listen to Paris! From the balcony, an incredible view of the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees which is basically across the street. The view was especially breathtaking at night. The hotel was quite easy to get to from the airport. The Air France shuttle stop is across the street. No you don’t have to fly Air France to purchase a shuttle ticket. The entire hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Farooq in particular was very helpful and kind. Hotel Splendid Etoile was quite different than the hotel we stayed in during the tour. It surpassed our expectations and when we return someday, we will definitely stay here again. The hotel is just like the website. J’aime l’hotel Splendid Etoile!
