A FANTASTIC HOTEL

After countless hours of research of Paris hotels..Splendid Etoile was our choice. We stayed in Room 508 and I highly recommend requesting it because of the view.

A few reasons you should stay here:

-The hotel staff is outstanding. The front desk staff and bellmen were very welcoming on our arrival. We also got to meet the “famous” Farooq while checking in. He always answered our countless questions with a smile. He knows everything about Paris and is a huge asset to the property.

- The Air France shuttle drops you off right across the street (buy a round trip ticket upon boarding at the airport) .The metro is also across the street and is very easy to use (buy a carnat of 10 tickets to save $)

-The view was breathtaking from our room. Even though you probably won’t spend alot of time there..it is nice to see the Arc de Triomphe each day you wake up and go to bed.

-The room was better than expected. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. It was larger than a normal European room. The bathtub was the extra long too.

-The coffee at the hotel is some of the best we have ever tasted. Order it through room service.

-You can bypass the crosswalks to the Champs Elysees by taking the tunnel under the Arc de Triomphe. The stairs are on the same block as the hotel

To do:
* buy a museum pass
* don’t miss Montmartre (Sacre Cour)
* Arc at night
* Louvre early in the morning before it opens
* L’Orangerie Museum (Monet)
* Rodin Museum
* Take the double decker bus tour for one day if it’s your first visit to Paris. Then take the metro back to the sights you saw

Overall a great hotel!!! Not one dislike or complaint.
