My sister, mom, & I stayed at the Splendid Etoile in May 2007. We absolutely ADORE this hotel and would definitely stay there again! The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive.
Chief Concierge Farooq granted us an Arc du Triomphe-facing room with balcony upon our request. The view was amazing!
He was also incredibly helpful and patient in making reservations for us to restaurants and shows. Also, all of the staff was very helpful with giving us directions to points of interest, either by metro, car, or on foot. All of the staff is incredibly helpful and kind.
The rooms were also fantastic. Our triple was huge by european standards, with incredibly high ceilings, beautiful french doors leading out to balcony, and a huge marble bathroom!
The location of the hotel was spectacular! Ideally located at the Arc, and a few steps to the train station for both the metro and RER. There are literally dozens of fantastic cafes & restaurants within walking distance. The neighborhood is upscale and very sophisticated without being pretentious. And its a 5 minute walk to the Champs Ellyses.
Overall, an amazing experience and we will without question stay there again on our next trip to Paris!!!
