Top Notch

My wife and I have just returned from 7 days in Paris. I did plenty of research on a place to stay, Our final decision was based on $$$ and tripadvisor reviews. I have stayed in Paris twice before and knew the area was good, but this turned out even better then expected.
The Air France bus is a Great way to go to and from the airport. The Metro is directly accross the street, in fact there is an elevator right at the front door to take you to the metro. This is a main station for the Metro and RER (train).
We stayed in room#606. This is a suite (apartment). It is on the top floor and has a totally unobstructed view of The Arc. It also, which was a suprise to me, has a great view of The Eiffel Tower. The light show at night was worth the price alone.
The standard rooms are quite small. and superior are also small. (to North American standards) Don’t let the size of the rooms get you down, that is the way it is in Paris.
The suite, however, is certainly more expensive, but is great. The room is exactly as shown on the hotel website. It has a living room with pullout sofa, table, 3 chairs, desk and mini fridge, and 2 large windows that offer a view, second to none.
The bedroom has a queen size bed (not 2 singles) with night tables, dresser and large closet with in room safe and 2 large windows.
The bathroom has a tub/shower combination with bidet hairdyer and separate toilet. The young lady at the front desk , though not rude, can be a little on the cold side. The concierge , Farooq, is excellent. He has a great personality and can be very helpful. English in this hotel is definitely not a problem.
As mentioned in previousposts , breakfast is expensive and is not necessary. There are plenty of cafes in the area for ALL meals. Farooq will be glad to point them out to you. There is also a grocery store, within a ten minute walk.(Monoprix).
All in all, this is a very good hotel with an excellent concierge. Yes the suite is a little more expensive (around 325euros) but the extra room and VIEW are worth it.
